Clinical Study on the Analgesic and Ant inflammatory Effect of Tiaprofenic Acid in Surgically Treated Orthopaedic Patients



Abstract
Clinical study on the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect of tiaprofenic acid was done in the surgically treated orthopaedic patients. The study was non-comparative and total number of the patients was 30. The study was focused on the evaluation of swelling, pain, and adverse effects. The overall efficacy was very good in 2, good in 24, fair in 4, and nil in 0, revealing 86.7% of satisfactory efficacy (good -and very good). There was no specific complication except mild epigastric discomfort in 2 patients. In conclusion, tiaprofenic acid was thought to. be relatively effective in relieving¢¥ pain and swelling with good tolerance in orthopaedic patients.
